Linden, TX is located north of Jefferson, TX and south of New Boston, TX. It is often referred to as "Music City Texas". It carries a long standing history, and is home to some famous musicians, such as Don Henley, Aaron T-Bone Walker, and Scott Joplin. Interesting enough the county newspaper "The Cass County Sun" began production in 1875 with a printing press that was rescued from the Red River, as it was intentionally sunk in an effort to be sure federal troops in the Civil War would not obtain access to it. The fundamental goal of Linden Heritage Foundation is to energize and illuminate the city's future possibilities, all while protecting and preserving the heritage which makes up this beautiful area. This is a city you can be proud to live in and become an active member of a thriving close community.
